My annual holiday Wordplay Quiz is here!

Every year I write a quiz full of dreadful puns, cryptic crossword nerdery, and dreadful puns, designed to be solved on the couch with your loved ones.

I can't understand how "writing is my dream job" and "ugh, can't the robot do it?" coexist comfortably inside the same skull, but a lot of people live in cognitive dissonance.

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

Everyone knows about Ahmed al-Ahmad, the Syrian Muslim migrant who took down one gunman. Another man, a Middle Eastern refugee, ran into a firefight and kicked the gun away from the other gunman. Police shot him, and bystanders kicked him in the head while he was down, thinking he was the terrorist.

"Oh sweet, Ivy was on a podcast to talk about a deck!"
Now, dear listener, you may feel as though I'd talk about Ayara, or Braids, or Judith, or some other mono black or Rakdos bullshit, right?
NOPE. Turns out it was Ty Lee's janky bullshit that caught some attention 😅😭😂

This was fun, though!
This week's episode features @ladyfoxglove.bsky.social , Magic Ambassador and Rakdos superfan. Ivy's deck stars one of the most recent Voltron commanders:  Ty Lee, Artful Acrobat. We also talk about bulk rares, giving yourself a challenge, and rubber-ducking.

Again I say: how fucking interesting that remote work technology is bad and not worth adopting despite all research pointing to productivity gains, but genAI which offers NOTHING is so important to adopt and force on people who have no use for it despite all the horrible things genAI does

hey creators! 💖 with holiday shopping upon us, can we get a thread going of everyone's referral links / codes at places around the net? I think it'd be a neat way to shop within our own community and offer some nice bonuses for everyone :3c (artists feel free to drop your own storefronts too! ✨)

It's that time of year when I compile a bunch of 2025 songs that got stuck in my head. It's a mix of indie, pop-punk, rock, hip hop with a couple great Québecois tracks in there.

Buy their albums. Go to their shows.
