Hi hello, the Toronto Sun's email is [email protected] in case you'd like to inquire as to how they feel about their Ottawa Bureau Chief making these kinds of statements about innocent women being shot by militarized thugs in the street! Let's make his weekend extra fun :)

It can seem pollyannaish to imagine wildly positive futures at times like this, but that's when they're most powerful - a light to guide our way out of the dark.

Fascism wins when we can't remember what a better world looks like. When it doesn't feel possible. Nurturing our dreams is resistance.

Don't forget folks: allowing yourself a vision of the future you'd want for our country and planet - not the one you'd settle for, not the one you fear, but the future of your dreams - isn't naive, it's a vital cognitive skill. That's how we articulate what we most value. What's worth fighting for.
Instead of whatever this is, we should have a government getting lots of new homes and apartments built, lots of clean energy built, lots of high speed rail and transit and bike lanes built, human rights for everyone, economic & healthcare opportunities for all, & innovation that leads the world.

I couldn't give a shit about Maduro, a dictator whose authoritarian power Trump envies.

It's the latter part of that sentence that you should care about when evaluating what just happened.

There are many, many people still viewing world events like today's through an ideological prism, as if the Trump regime has coherent or principled worldviews.

The sane among us realize Trump could just as easily "capture" the Canadian Prime Minister next month, on a whim.

My God this video is good.

Listen, I have all the same concerns about TikTok that you all do. But I am telling you as a political journalist that the very best political commentary in the world right now is on TikTok.

It's become what Twitter used to be, maybe better. It is no folly to use it now.

WATCH: Why do projects get delayed in Ontario? Because of the PC government's chaos. Scandals, shortcuts, backroom deals—their approach guarantees conflict. Bill 5 is no different.

The fastest way to get Ontario building is to do it right the first time.

The protests are not for Trump to see, they are so you can all see each other and grow. It's not the protest itself that tyrants are afraid of, but the networks and community you can grow from them. Your strength is your unity and that's why the enemy thrives by demoralizing and dividing you. #3E

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

I really hope, beyond all hope, that this blows up spectacularly in Doug Ford's stupid face. He runs gov't ads for two months on our dime to fool people, he sends out bribery cheques, he times the election for a measly 4 weeks so the opposition has less time to be heard.

End him, Ontario!

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.
