There are going to be prominent Democrats and mainstream media voices who insist that we have to "turn the page" and "forgive and forget" and they should all be roundly ignored, if not mercilessly mocked.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

As long as the loudest folks on the left insist tone-policing, compromise on human rights, and acquiescence are our only options for a unified country, they will continue to lose the faith of the marginalized. And even when they win, they’ll just be waiting to lose the same way again.

Journalists needing to be seen as "even-handed" no matter what the facts is killing journalism.
It's worth asking why every elite institution is issuing statements like this rather than pointing out the obvious fact that the institutional right commits and glorifies violence far more than the left. Is there a reason you feel you can't say that out loud?

Here’s a big secret that a lot of weathered old Dem strategists do not seem to have discovered: if you make promises and actually visibly work your ass off trying to make them happen, voters are not necessarily mad at you when it doesn’t work.
just going to start a tantrum highlight reel i guess

We do need mass movement but I gotta say this. Folks who just got energized need to make space for the resentment of folks who have been shouting this whole time, including the left & Black people. People who are part of this collective who have legitimate bitterness at how they've been treated.

I think saying "in America, everyone is innocent until proven guilty" works better for low-info normies than saying "due process" does

Axios is doing some rage baiting here. Look at the two posts⤵️ One has the main story about about Dems wanting to go to El Salvador. Only 11 reposts. The other pushes a tiny part in the story about one naysayer- it's got 238 reposts. Don't fall for it, folks. Read the piece.

“I was just following orders” was not a defense at Nuremberg. And it won’t be a defense in the future here.

Incredible. The Trump administration calculated "tariff rates" by taking the US trade deficit with the respective country and dividing it by the country's exports to the US. And then the tariff rate of the US is often just set by cutting that made-up "tariff rate" in half.

i want nothing more than for jd vance to become a pariah whose name is a burden on him for the rest of his life.
JD Vance claims the Maryland father the Trump administration mistakenly deported to a slave prison in El Salvador wasn't "father of the year" bc he had "traffic violations," and says "we do not ask permission from far left Democrats before we deport illegal immigrants."

(He's talking about judges)

👇🎯 Today in “These fascist incompetents have absolutely no idea what makes this country rich & powerful”
Yes--Germany invented the modern university. In the 1930s its universities were the best in the world until the Nazis destroyed them. German universities have never recovered their preeminence. We risk repeating this history here in the US.
Germany still hasn’t fully recovered from expelling and killing so many of its top researchers back in 1933. A lot of brilliant minds were forced to leave—people who went on to do groundbreaking work in other countries, especially the U.S.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Marco Rubio is like having Tom Wambsgabs as Secretary of State, a man whose ambition is to be an empty suit, on board to take any stance, say anything, whatever the boss wants, and sponge up some of the pain that comes back, all for the trappings, the title, the plane rides, the suits, to be there.
