It’s important to note that even though the importers jacked up prices on the American consumer, it’s the corporations that get these refunds. Not the consumers. So the rich, as always, will get richer while American consumers will have paid the price. END/

This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

I’ve been reading Trump’s "Board of Peace Charter," and despite the name, this isn’t a multilateral institution, it’s a centralised structure built entirely around the authority of one person (Trump).

Just guessing here, but I suspect the White House is pushing so hard for wars of conquest on multiple fronts because they see their support collapsing ahead of the midterms and worry they won't get another shot. An example of how tyrants become more dangerous as they get weaker, not less.

Please watch this.

The Senate killed a bill to ban state regulation of AI by a vote of 99-1 this spring. Now the industry - eager to stay unregulated - and Trump are scheming to shove the provision in the national defense bill.

You need to know this, so you can help stop it.

This is a striking idea. And definitely one worthy of consideration.

Definitely an area to watch
An interesting schism is forming between Republicans who think they actually have to win future elections, and Republicans who think they can just lean back and enjoy their new thousand-year Reich.

A straight forward, well-presented take by General Hertling on what reaction to expect from the senior leadership of the U.S. Armed Forces when they are addressed by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and, we're now told, by the President himself. This has potential to become a pivotal moment for the US.
One of the most critical attributes of any senior military leader is the ability to adapt. That ability has been tested the last several days, and not by the enemy.

Yes, eyes wide open.
We’re stuck with the most wasteful and clueless administration in history.

Everyone should be concerned by the vulnerability Hegseth is creating with this move. And Trump seems dazed and confused.

Watch every second of this.

I have to say out of all the insane stories out there, this one really continues to boggle my mind.
What’s more astonishing: 1) that the president clearly believes, and repeatedly suggests, that asylum seekers are people from mental asylums, or 2) that no journalist has ever challenged him on this and no mainstream media outlets have done any deep dives on this story?

Well done 👏👏
I like this. Since under RFK Jr, Covid shots are now for people with underlying conditions that put them at risk, Michigan’s chief medical executive Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian states that not having the most recent Covid shot constitutes such an underlying condition.

….. What???
This is all just being said out loud now on the air on Fox “News”, instead of away from the cameras like before. That’s what’s changed. They’re testing the response and normalizing the idea at the same time.

Every time I see one of the Trumps’ grifting grins, I have that automatic wanting to vomit reaction.
There will be sooo much cleanup to be done when this administration of unprecedented incompetence and corruption is gone.
This level of corruption is not normal or acceptable. Even if we are exhausted by each report of it going further and further, we can never grow numb to it.
