Big news out of Montana: Dr. Thomas Weiner has lost his license and will never practice medicine there again as the medical board finally responds to reports that he hurt and mistreated people. They noted Scott Warwick, who got 10 years of chemo etc, died from it, but never had cancer. Context 👇
Let me tell you a story – one of the more haunting I’ve seen in 20 years of journalism. It’s about greed, death and denial. It took two years to unravel one doctor’s myth, a hospital’s complicity in creating it, and a documented trail of suspicious deaths…🧵

I was doing laundry tonight and after I loaded the machine I realized I only had $0.25 on my laundry card. Came back from topping it up and someone had put theirs in and paid for me!

A small, anonymous kindness.

Interesting to consider that if you were to go and deface the Kennedy center by removing Trump’s name, you’d be arrested and charged with a crime, but your act would be no more unlawful than what they’re doing right now.

Millions of people from the Pacific Northwest to the Northern Plains to the Northeast are under alerts today and tomorrow due to high winds. Keep a safe distance from large trees during windy conditions. Numerous people are hurt or killed every year due to falling branches.

YIKES. @nws.noaa.gov was not messing around with that wind warning.

Hard to get the scale here and I’m not going any closer for a better pic but I think that snapped off the trunk and it was LOUD. Guess I’m awake now!

Ok friends, here's the deal. We are expecting very strong winds throughout Eastern WA Tuesday night - Wednesday afternoon. These winds could blow down trees/power lines & create difficult travel conditions. Never drive over downed power lines. Plan ahead: wsdot.com/Travel/Real-...

Street fight!

Caught these mallards battling in the road this morning. As they moved further into the street, a car stopped as the driver watched, then honked admonishingly. The ducks moved toward the curb but continued fighting.

It looks as though the🔥Heat Miser🔥has taken over the latest outlook for Christmas week (Dec 23-29)! There is a high probability of warmer-than-normal temperatures for most of the US. Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, and New England have a better chance of seeing "classic" Christmas weather.

Me to same owl handler: "Owls are super wise, right? They read loads of highbrow Russian literature and stuff, don't they?"

Owl handler: "No, they actually have very tiny brains, due to the hugeness of their eyes. In reality they are one of the thickest animals you could ever meet."

Hey, I want to offer some helpful tips for coping with the cold for ICE folks who might have come from warmer places.

1. Wear cotton socks! Cotton is nice and soft next to your skin and will absorb your sweat so your feet stay warm. Cotton everything but ESPECIALLY socks!
Good morning to fuckers in our neighborhood kidnapping our neighbors! Can you see the city skyline? No? You’re wondering if Minneapolis burned down again overnight? Oh no, sweetie. That’s ice crystals in the air . It looks like it will get to around -8F without windchill! Please enjoy your stay!
