Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.

A study of the US budget under Trump shows conclusively that all government services to the population (disaster assistance, education, healthcare, scientific research) have evaporated while the essential functions of a police state (soldier, guns, bullets, surveillance technology) have mushroomed.

Can you see a world (DOJ, DHS), that calls these "terrorists organizations" and those who donate are supporters. Scary. But won't stop me from donating.

Absolutely right. Journalists should not believe ICE. Look for video evidence (you know it's out there) before reporting.
The initial reports from DHS never ever reflect reality and at this point it's journalistic malpractice to write stories as if they do

I dipped into Fox News for 10 minutes. What a mistake. They're going all-in on the Trump regime's lies about ICE's murder of Renee Nicole Good. But just because a lot of liars agree on a lie doesn't make it the truth.

A thousand tiny (rather large) cuts every day.
The corruption is absolutely staggering. One big money donor after another receiving direct benefits in return. Trump didn’t drain any swamps, he created a giant sewer to roll around in daily. Great reporting. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

This is completely disgusting. Today, the CDC updated their vaccine safety page. It now says:

“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

What could possibly be wrong with helping the poor?
An addled president is shredding the Constitution to usher in white nationalism and fascism while destroying the economy and our health care, so if you’re going to write an alarmist op-ed because a mayoral candidate might open five (5) city-run grocery stores, you can kindly get bent.

Mr. Rogers' quotes: Words to live by! I aspire to make Mr. Rogers' spirit proud of me.
“We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It’s easy to say, ‘It’s not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.’ Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.”
