I really think that even most people who think language policing was a huge problem over the past 5-10 years have no patience for the disgusting little freaks who have tried to bring back "retarded" as a slur. It's just so low-rent and such a tell that the person using it is not worth your time

Cities Skylines 2 transitioning devs post-release with all of the issues that the game has is wild and I feel like is a death march for the game and potentially the franchise as well. Hoping for the best but a bunch of devs w/o direct experience in that codebase taking the mantle feels like disaster

I think like, being from Philly, it's really weird seeing this mistake in other people. Like, Philly is a deep blue city, with a diverse population, and abolitionist roots. The city is also still insanely racist, far more than outsiders really pick up on.
I think we need to be careful with conflating "leans Democratic" with "not racist" Maine has a long legacy of racism. So does Oregon which is a blue state. Oregon was literally conceived as a white supremacist fever dream. And the KKK ruled Indiana for a period.

i really do not get why people who use a secondary monitor + a laptop try to replicate the side-by-side thing. that's the most evil non-ergonomic setup for those specifics. putting your laptop under/in front of the 2nd monitor is almost always going to be better ergonomically.
