Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Not for nothing, but it would probably be harder for an autocrat to pressure the news and entertainment industry if we didn’t keep letting them consolidate into fewer, larger companies over the last 40 years.

Will someone PLEASE start saying loudly, publicly, and repeatedly that Republicans don’t like democracy because their ideas are unpopular. It’s a very simple premise that has the advantages of being very straightforward, totally true, and basically impossible to refute.

Reminder that this is still the way…
I just can’t anymore. My heart goes out to all the people who do great work on many parts of this historic institution. But, I can no longer let my fix for cool puzzles and great recipes subsidize the deliberate manipulation of the public discourse in this way. This is a very sad day for me.
