Happy Chanukah! Tonight I decided to meld most of the traditions of my family together and make raclatkes, melting raclette on top of latkes made with mashed potatoes (like Irish boxty), like my Irish-Jewish mom used to make. They were tasty, although my 16YO says the portmanteau is cringe.
