I remember saying this after coming out during Trump 1... it was a hell of a time then too. There's never a "perfect" time to come out.

Even if we lose every protection possible in law, we still have each other, and there will be places we can exist safely, obtain our care, and thrive.
I sure picked a hell of a year to come out as trans
Pretty clear that this will be the vehicle SCOTUS will use to deny equal protection to transgender people. While the case will be about sports, that decision would essentially strip all rights on transgender status or sex for trans people.

It would make virtually any law permissible.

Everyone thinks of 1944 auschwitz and not 1933 Dachau. It didn't start as extermination camps. It's a process to get there and one the Trump administration is starting now.
I have no doubt that Laura Loomer would be wearing a Nazi arm band in 1930s Germany.

But that does not make this concentration camp (or if you prefer, gulag) into an extermination camp.

It diminishes what happened at Auschwitz.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court announced it will hear two cases challenging state laws banning transgender students from participating in school sports.

Lower courts were right to block these discriminatory laws, and we will continue to defend the freedom of all kids to play.

1) it was always fascism and fascism was the right word to use
2) they are building concentration camps and concentration camps are the right words to use
3) they are banning books and book bans is a fine way to describe the myriad ways they are banning them

Laura Loomer is advocating in very direct terms for genocide.
The entire Latino population in the U.S. is 65 million. She means all of us.

The Supreme Court rewarded this yesterday and the attorney who did it is about to be confirmed for a federal circuit court seat.

The rule of law is dead.

My very, very first impression of Skrmetti is that it is as horrible as people are saying, and yet, it is a more limited horror: It does not overturn bostock, it doesn't overturn rulings saying trans discrimination = sex discrimination.

Bathroom, sports, passport ruling are good under this.

Breaking: Transgender people lose Skrmetti, SCOTUS rules that Tennessee's law banning gender affirming care is not subject to heightened scrutiny.

I'll be reading and reporting more fully today.

Terrible day for transgender people.

A reminder that one of the biggest reasons Musk and the far right are so focused on trans people is because they literally believe we are a conspiracy to lower white birth rates.
It would appear CNN was also at the eugenics conference? Why are all these mainstream news orgs at a 200-person event where all the speakers are eugenicists and racists? www.cnn.com/2025/04/11/u...

If Trump can claim a "national emergency" to disappear legal residents without due process, what’s to stop him from doing the same to U.S. citizens who oppose him?

No one is safe — not even people legally in the country, possibly not even American citizens.

Fascism is here.

I’m just gonna say it. At this point, if you aren’t fairly familiar with the neo-reactionary “Dark Enlightenment” movement that Moldbug and Land built up and Thiel became a champion of… you simply are not qualified to talk about Republican Politics anymore.
