If you mean things like not feeling hungry or thirsty, etc. then yeah it's more of a thing on stimulants, but I still struggle with them some thanks to autism often being really bad with it apparently? Add ADHD and it's a wonder I remember I'm not feeling it lol

I've had my ADHD diagnosis since I was 5 (and as a girl, getting that diagnosis in the 80s was wild business!)
And now today, after a couple years of self-suspected autism and about a year of self-recognized OCD, I can officially add both as formal diagnoses.
I'm feeling at peace with all of this.

I'd still like a shot at autism/ADHD diagnosis because some thing don't add up or they add up a little too well but eh I've been managing things so much better overall, I think I can do without it (though it would be nice to have an official yes/no ngl)

Re: Wes Streeting’s review into mental health and Autism & ADHD… The Lords & NHS have released major review reports in November 2025 stating clearly that both Autism & ADHD are UNDER diagnosed & under resourced in the UK/England. I am shocked Wes Streeting doesn’t appear to have read them! 🧵👇

i dropped everything to focus all my time and energy to find help and solve my adhd. after 5 years, ive learned there is nothing that can be done. no medication worked on me, brain surgeries are not a thing, nothing left but therapy & cope. to add insult to injury, got diagnosed with autism earlier.

![We starting to really see the naterial effects of all of our time with "social tech" [namely the rising prevalence of attention deficit and its exasperating effects on preexistina AD disorders], we definitely have been engaging with tech like it's been field tested, it hasn't. It takes vears before we know the material harm of something especially if all the pieces are not being presented to you or there are things like engineered "social" marketing. Add to that they keep creating the next best doohickey and tieing it to our survival. Social media isn't addictive by happenstance but our 3rd spaces (which is a tier on the hierarchy of needs) are quickly becoming less accessible for a number of other engineered factors.
