Genuinely don’t know. The tabby on the top right is absolutely psychotic about other cats in her space. The only one she likes is the 20 year old calico top left. Two grew up together from kittens, and then the other two (center and bottom left) are just kind of goobers.

She comes to me for cuddles, rolls around in my arms, and sleeps with me around her neck.
She's friendly, affectionate, and super energetic.
She even bites Piyo's neck to try and mount him.

Fun fact, cats’ thermoneutral zone is 86–97°F (30–36°C). Regular indoor temperatures register as uncomfortably cold/freezing to them. Humans trapped desert predators in freezing prisons and mistook their desperation for warmth as affection.

I don't think so many people would be codependent with their pets if not for this; dogs and cats are essentially the only beings you can platonically cuddle without raising eyebrows. I'm absolutely not dissing pets; I just find it sad how many people are deprived of also having human connection.
I don't think it's healthy for us that culturally (at least in the US), any form of affection or attachment towards non-partners (aside from family) is stigmatized or even seen as cheating. Come on, we're built for community. The way we're taught to view love is extremely fucked.
