#Cerritos,
Both the Cerritos and the refit Enterprise are beautiful ships

I know there were plans for the Enterprise-D to have "Cetacean Ops" and dolphin crewmembers to assist with astronagivation. They never appeared, but a couple of beluga whales kept the Cerritos running in Lower Decks.

I color portraits for leisure, practice, or for clients,

but I do not draw them.
✏️/✒️❌
I am interested in coloring comics too, so I would be open to hearing pitches.

Going for the most unhinged dinner party in history. The theme is Iron Chef and everything is made with raktajino. There's also unlimited Romulan ale.

Cerritos Strong 😉💜🖖 #StarTrekLowerDecks

The Orion ship reminds me of how much I loved how ST: Lower Decks (in the ep. "Dos Cerritos") leaned into the design that was implied (but not fully seen) in TOS's "Journey to Babel," nacelle lights and all

I really enjoy this establishing shot.

The best is lower decks. Saying other wise gets punished with holodeck cleaning on the Cerritos 🤣

Star Trek Lower Decks: Warp Your Own Way by Ryan North & Chris Fenoglio (2022). Lower Decks is one of my favorite Star Trek series. I love its humor and silliness. Ryan North, no stranger to nerdy humor, took the crew of the Cerritos and created this wild (and meta) choose your own adventure tale.

In lower decks an insult against the Cerritos would result in Beckett going to war with the whole galaxy. It’s okay when she says that the Cerritos is lame and the bridge is dumb but if someone dares to say it hell is about to break lose

I mean I'm *pretty* sure that the Obena-class starship exists because USS Archimedes was scripted as an Excelsior-1 and someone realized it would look dinky next to USS Cerritos. In some of the streaming synopses it's called an Excelsior-class 😅
December 30, 2025 at 7:36 PM
Honestly a tie between the Cerritos and the entire Miranda class.
December 30, 2025 at 5:35 PM
I mean 'hero' in the sense of being like the lead character ship. Discovery, Protostar, Cerritos etc. Gets a little fuzzy at times, but the Excelsior has never taken that particular spotlight.

I don't think many of these are FROM the modern era tho, even if they do appear IN the modern era. 😄
December 30, 2025 at 4:33 PM
* Hero ships I think include Discovery, La Sirena, Protostar, Cerritos, Titan-A/Enterprise-G and the SNW Enterprise.

Stargazer and Voyager-A are borderline IMO. Stargazer technically yes, but was barely in the season, whereas Voyager-A was very prominent in Prodigy S2.

And...AND! Look at who just docked!!

Come to think of it I didn't take pics of the Cerritos. Well I have to organize my display cabinet and I've got shit to do the next couple of days so you'll have to wait.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

What a great time in California! Thanks to all who joined us in Cerritos, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs!

While I'm sort of on the subject, you may or may not know that they revamped the Cerritos model for season 2. It looks great, but I always felt the early S1 ship had a lot of charm.

According to Mike McMahan on the "Hiding in Plain Sight" feature on the LOWER DECKS S1 Blu-ray set, the reason for the registry being on the back of the saucer was both so it could be easily seen when a ship is being towed by the Cerritos, and also to resemble "an exotic dancer's lower back tattoo."
December 29, 2025 at 6:57 PM
Ah yes, now this screengrab from the special features makes more sense. (I haven't actually seen this feature, it's just an image from TrekCore.)
