What I’ve learned from TV ads is that everyone else on earth is buying a new car at all times or has moderate to severe Crohn’s disease

In a development that is both annoying and darkly hilarious, I was taken into hospital last night after I had a Crohn’s flare triggered by everyone else going into hospital. Although they expect to let me out later today. I have slept a LOT

“What should I eat?” is perhaps the most common question patients with inflammatory bowel disease ask their doctors.

"Short-term, calorie-restrictive diet significantly improved both physical symptoms and biological indicators of mild-to-moderate Crohn’s disease."

for some reason my immune system totally tanked this week. cold sore, followed by crohn's flare, followed by arthritis pain, followed by a head cold. I can't keep my eyes open for longer than a couple minutes without my nose running and sneezing. I'm annoyed! someone send me a fresh immune system!!

Decades after the fact my dad revealed to me that Terry Yorath had scouted me during his early Swansea days. Unfortunately i had to stop playing altogether after that season thanks to a more regular post-match flaring of what i now know to be Crohn's, so i wasn't ever told.

Goodnight, Mr. Yorath x

I've worked with people who have Crohn's; I soon learned to appreciate the difficulties of trying to lead a normal life outside the house, when one's life revolves around close proximity to a toilet!

Shouldn't need toilets for free drinking water though. We need more drinking fountains everywhere!

The year is 2100. I have just become the oldest person ever with Crohn's Disease. When asked how I managed it, I explain that my survival is fueled by my deep and abiding loathing for Stephen Miller.

Well after months of diet, exercise, fiber supplements, probiotics, meditation, and marijuana, I think my Crohn’s disease is in full remission. Even the little spot on my right side that always has a slight dull pain feels fine right now. Pretty big relief considering the price of medical care.

Organoid technology is one of the most significant advancements deriving from developmental biology. Yet, many aspects of the biology of organoid itself remain elusive, one of which is the role of mesenchymal stem cells.

I would not be at all surprised to see GLP1s be an important tool for autoimmune arthritis treatment going forward. It is especially exciting to see these combo therapies being trialed.

I wonder how the gastric side effects will work for folks w/ Crohn’s/UC?

I nearly bled out in the hospital after a perfect intestinal surgery because I got three times the intended dose of blood thinners. The surgery was necessary because my Crohn’s diagnosis was delayed. My diagnosis was delayed because my parents didn’t take me to a GI when the ACA seemed nearly dead.

I started watching the Pitt. So far I've seen an emergency fasciotomy, a psych case that turned out to be mercury poisoning, Crohn's patient with acute abdominal pain but turned out to be a spider bite, and someone in a sickle cell crisis who gets adequate care because of *1* doctor.

Doing some knitting and writing today…

I was up at like 6:30 nauseous as hell and dry heaving for like an hour. I slept in till 11, but I’m still feeling so drained and SORE.

That combo of Crohn’s heaving and ankylosing spondylitis always makes for a painful torso for several days.

Because I have Crohn’s, one of my hobbies is visiting the doctor. Love the doctor, and the special expensive medicines she sticks me with.
