I feel pretty vulnerable posting this so publicly, but it's that important to me that I say something, that I use my experiences to help signal boost this story and its implications. The implications of other pregnant people who have died already due to lack of care. Of others being criminalized.

This got more immediate visibility than I expected. Since I'm already on their list, I'll use the opportunity to make people aware that the first person to try to reform the Bund (Jewish antizionist socialist school from the 20th century) had us on Signal to reduce our exposure to state level intel

That could be it but I think the more likely answer is that they were already using signal and are just too fucking lazy to use the actual secure methods of communication they have.

I already rarely use it because I know some judges and court staff distrust the signal, and the Bluebook's silly decision-making is just going to make it worse.

It does use the TC39 Signals polyfill though, which I avoid because it’s slow and unstable, for now.
Would be neat if we could make the signal-lib configurable. Or I could write my own handler I suppose

I feel like so many drivers don't use their turn signal to Signal their turns they use it because they know they're supposed to use it or they'll get a ticket but they don't bother using it to actually signal anyone they'll put it on as they're already turning.

I already moved most of my Apple friends to iMessage over the past years then I surfed on the Trump inauguration & told my most frequent chatters that I was moving and gave alternatives on where to find me. Turns out most already had Signal but didn’t use it much

I agree, Signal is on a very different paradigm to what Discord is trying to be (it's far more like a mobile messenger in every way). just wanted to note it because I already use it daily and I've seen people talk about migrating to Signal which is silly
