#Piskies
this kind of thing is of course not a solely TEC issue and I'm sure it's not all episcopalian parishes - just so happened that all of these friends were piskies

@uncannykernow.bsky.social I'm from the Isle of Man and we have many similarities to Cornwall (but were more problematic for the Methodists!) Excited to hear how similar the Manx/Cornish are for general weirdness. You might have piskies, but we've got Gef!

¡MALDITOS PISKIES!
Conoce a los extraordinarios duendes de Cornualles.
Los piskies son unas criaturas muy emblemáticas del folclore de Cornualles. Son unos duendes muy alegres y activos, tanto para ayudar como para hacer travesuras.

“I have asked the clergy of the diocese to make sure their affairs are in order and they have written their wills.,not the time for statements. It is time to put our bodies between the powers of this world and the most vulnerable”. Rob Hirschfeld, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire

It's Cornwall. Bleddy Piskies get into everything, nearly as bad as Emmets.

Mrs Fa's in charge of the Xmas tree and she always gets it Dec. 1st.

They're called piskies down here, and you'll be relieved to know that they don't get involved in erections.

With or without the creative edit these small blue big eared variations on ET - described by WB as living in Cornwall UK - www.harrypotter.com/fact-file/cr... have little resemblance to the descriptions of suited and booted piskies wearing green and red clothes in Cornwall's folklore.

Piskies: Will Smith - good clean raps that your mum can listen to, by a man of many varied talents. Try not to think too hard about that one verse in Parents Don't Understand.

They're referred to as Pictsies; Piskies/pixies/etc. are a type of small mischievous fairy in British folklore, and the Picts were a people of ancient Scotland, described by a Roman writer as wearing body paint or tattoos "the colour of glass". This is usually glossed as blue, specifically as woad🧵
