When I got married we looked into hiring a local chabad that advertised catering. Dude told me the waiters would be 16 year old girls “volunteering” so as to “raise money for their class trip.” I said I wasn’t comfortable with that and he said “well if we hire goyisch waitera we have to pay tax“

Ordered an Arnold Palmer off the restaurant drinks menu. Ive now observed 4 waiters stare confusedly at the menu. They seem to make the drinks themselves as there's nobody at the bar. I'm fascinated to see what comes out. . 🇮🇳

There have always been Indian restaurants in Moscow, many of them quite bad. The one exception was always Jai Hind, off Prospekt Mira. It’s still the best, by far, but the quality of Indian restaurants and the preponderance of Indian chefs and waiters has skyrocketed recently.
