#amitriptyline
They certainly are. Amitriptyline isn’t an opioid, tho cocodamol is.

So thinking low energy was testosterone and the 25mg amitriptyline was possibly the right level, keeping most of the pain at bay, so going to go back up to 25 and see if I have any improvement the next few weeks

Suspecting I've been feeling worse since dropping the amount of Amitriptyline two weeks ago, so taking it back up to what I was on before to see if things improve. Figure the first week my body was just getting used to the new amount but the past week has been awful so need to do something.

my glee the first time i experienced a migraine downgraded to just a visual aura after amitriptyline

For some people a first generation antihistamine like hydroxyzine helps, or a TCA like amitriptyline or nortriptyline

That is interesting. Zopicione is a sleep med, amitriptyline is an old antidepressant that is often prescribed off-label for sleep but quetiapine actavis is an old antipsychotic and is prescribed off-label as a mood stabilizer. While it causes sedation, I never heard it given for just sleep before.

I'm loaded up on amitriptyline gabapentin and codeine. I've got a glass of champagne which I really shouldn't be having with all my meds and I am peeling carrots whilst listening to @impq.bsky.social.

It's a sciatica sort of thing after an awkward accident I have, and no there's no pain unless I stand still for too long. I went back to the doctor complaining about the heavy effect of Amitriptyline and got a switch, the difference was marked.

Sounds like a combo punch of migraine and cluster headaches, I get the same thing, if you are not on amitriptyline you can give it a try or speak to GP/ Dr for sumatriptan, amitriptyline is a preventative and sumatriptan will basically knock you out when you have one.

my current antidepressants work okay but they do nothing for my anxiety (understandably, since that is not a thing amitriptyline is supposed to do) and this has seemingly opened up a pandora's box of absolutely insane bullshit inside my brain and i would like the lid back on that asap please and thx

ah yeah it's....i wish it wasn't a funny business, but it can be. i know they do the amitriptyline/cimetidine thing as first line, but i imagine you've already done that. you'll kind of have to vibe-check the situation, but sometimes ppl respond better to approaching it from like....

It's insane, it's got diclofenac, lidocaine, cyclobenzaprine, magnesium, ketamine, gabapentin, amitriptyline, and that worked meh so I asked for capsaicin also bc I thought it would kill all the pain and it does, in my feet.

I was ending up awake 72 hours just bc of them, thus the nuke cream.

I'm fine. Doctor has put me back on amitriptyline at 25mg. Not sure on my brother, he's waiting.

Amitriptyline worked for me in so many ways; tummy, pain and sleep. It really impacted my memory though so I decided to come off it. Still weaning off.

Good luck!

I take amitriptyline for migraines. Doesn't work, but I do agree it does help make my sleep better than ever.

i take 40mg of amitriptyline for anxiety and it does a great job helping me get to sleep too - i sometimes have to supplement with the promethazine tablets i was telling you about the other day but usually it's fine combined with my mirtazapine! i hope it helps!! 🙏🏻

Very efficient doctor’s appointment. Going to try a small dose of amitriptyline to see if it helps with pain and sleep (I used to take it at antidepressant doses and slept the best I ever have, so I’m hopeful). Plus we’ve adjusted a couple of other meds and ordered an iron test.

I take amitriptyline for interstitial cystitis but I absolutely have to take it at night. I've mixed up my morning meds a few times and absolutely cannot function for 2 hours after I take it.

My prescription got messed up at one point and I had to go without for a couple weeks, and discovered I had restless legs, so I didn’t stay off it when the RX finally got renewed, but cut back hard. I did try amitriptyline instead for a while, but was just dragging through the day.

With 50mg of amitriptyline, my chances of remaining awake for The Game Awards are close to zero. I'll catch up tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoys. Expedition 33 forever!

So…saw a neurologist this week. Less than 5 minutes into the consult, he prescribes Amitriptyline and Sumatriptan…says I will have to take the Amitriptyline everyday for the rest of my life for the intractable migraine I’ve had for too long.

He didn’t check my MRI results 😡 didn’t know I’d had one

The little sleep i got i managed by being sat up after doses of multiple analgesics. I couldn't take the preferred nerve pain med (amitriptyline) because of other med clashes. If i lay down the sensations in and around my eye were unbearable.
At one point i literally would have rather been dead.
