Yeah, but they *always* had the legal right. The only thing stopping them was knowing it would disaffect the player base and cause them to lose subscribers. So if they do it and it doesn’t cause an uproar, they’re just encouraged to do it again when it suits them (and it will).

If Biden were to pardon Trump, I think it would royally piss off and disaffect many Democrats who might stop working hard to elect Democratic candidates and possibly even sit out the 2022 elections.

I’m all for enacting policies that drive Dem turnout. But disaffection lies on both the leftist and centrist edges of the party and right wing money is being productively used to sow and organize dissension on both left and center. Policies that shore up one edge further disaffect the other.
