The schooners Bill of Rights and Californian (California’s official tall ship) sail out of SD, and there are three tall ships in LA though none tri masted IIRC.

As someone who grew up on the Great Lakes, and did quite a bit of sailing (albeit not on historic schooners) they are absolutely gorgeous vessels!
