True, but democrats need to figure out red states, or it’s over nationally. The hardcore move would be getting people to move from blue states to red states… give me 50k people here and I’ve got two senate seats for ya.

@maddow.bsky.social hi Rachel, I have a theory it might be wrong but here it is. I think Republicans don't care if they lose. They'd rather lose so the Democrats take the house and the Senate so they could impeach this idiot in the White House.

Every little bit helps, but I don't see Georgia and Florida electing Democrats as Governor. I don't see Florida electing Democrats to the Senate.

We got a lot of big problems, no doubt. And a Democrat in the White House with a Democrat majority House and Senate won't fix it all. But a lot less people showed up for the election that was supposed to be a shoe-in for the Democrats. www.pewresearch.org/politics/202...
Voter turnout, 2020-2024
Overall and across most demographic groups, Trump’s 2020 voters turned out at higher rates in 2024 than Biden’s did, a Pew Research Center analysis shows.

It means nothing to have control over the house, presidency, or senate; if enough Democrats defect to pass far right policy consistently. Or if the Democratic party continues to make supporting Israel unquestionably a core policy. A victorious Democratic party will still function like this.

Republicans control The White House and both houses of Congress.

In Pennsylvania, the GOP also holds a majority in the State Senate, the House is functionally tied; and the State Treasurer and Auditor-General are not Democrats,
Sen. Dave McCormick says Vance's "number one" economic message to Pennsylvanians should be "the Biden economy was a disaster"

Republicans had NO INPUT into the Unaffordable Care Act. They couldn’t “hold out” for anything. Democrats had 60 Senate seats, the House and the presidency. They couldn’t ANYTHING they wanted without any Republicans and this piece of shit was what they did.

OWN IT, my friend.

I've just seen a list of Senate Democrats supporting anti-trans legislation. It overlaps with that list of Democrats that support the repeal of section 230. I've started to call this lot McClellan Democrats; they prepare but they never fight.

Wiles paving the way for Trump. The files are bad and cleansed for Trump before they come out.
Democrats need to take the House and Senate . VOTE.

The McClellan Democrats. If the Democrats should retake the Senate, these are the ones who will drag their feet and defend the Republican Party.
Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

“Texas may be a long shot for Democrats no matter what. But in a cycle where flippable Republican Senate seats are at a premium, running a candidate as polarizing as Crockett may all but take this one off the map.”
December 16, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Very difficult to place any currency in Democrats' vows to 'resist fascism' and so on when the Senate Minority Leader and and DSCC Chair, both from deep blue New York, decide to throw trans people under the bus at the first instance for absolutely zero advantage (as if that matters).

Why Both Republicans and Democrats Are Wrong About Health Care
The health care reform debate has become — already was — a game of hot potato among individuals, insurers and the government over who pays. Last week, two competing plans failed to pass in the Senate: Democrats want to extend Obamacare subsidies for three years; Republicans want to directly fund health savings accounts. But the real solution to rising premiums isn't backstopping Obamacare or haggling over what might replace it — because the real issue is the total cost of health care.

I understand why. it should be the first bill when the Democrats take over House and Senate! With republicans running the House and Senate will stop any effort!

2025 was for setting the table. 2026 will be a bountiful year if the Democrats don't shut down the government. If Senate Democrats close the government again [on January 30], then Senate Republicans should immediately abrogate the filibuster. - Bessent

Hakeem Jeffries eagerly defended Mike Johnson as Speaker before this term, too.

Plenty of Democrats have enabled the Trump regime.

We need to replace about 3/4 of Congress & the Senate with people of both real intelligence & actual consciences.

Democrats should be talking about proposals to stop these mass shootings. We should try to introduce legislation now and let Americans know what Dems can do if given control of the House and Senate in 2026.

Need I remind you that MAGA dominates the House , the Senate, and the courts right now. Even democrats who do care about Palestine can't even make a dent so it's up to you now!
