One of the things that's kind of funny to think about is that if you really get down to the core of the systems, traditional RPGs with various status ailments and corresponding spells or potions to clear them are basically the same as a lot of "immersive (but not realistic)" medical systems

Grayzone Warfare has a very complicated medical system that includes shit like nausea where your character can vomit and it will cancel your healing animations

This is so awful that I just tell my squadmates to put me out of my misery and let me respawn if I have a sucking chest wound

I feel like a lot of people have overindexed on "da troops" worship in the US because "we're going to pay just the military and only the military while we keep the rest of the government shut down" is not going to be perceived as "supporting the troops" outside of the NYT opinion columns

There's a lot of Americans of color and former Soviet subjects who are very proud of their families sacrifices and contributions to allied victory and this frequently gets written off as either "fighting for empire" or completely erased and folded into "American" or "Russian"
