I voted for Joe Khan in the Attorney General primary last year. I didn't know who he was, but his campaign sent out a Superman-themed mailer, and that decided it for me.

These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

If Henry did not die before 1902, then this is his grave in Baltimore. It's the flat stone at the front with the flag (which I left). Henry and his wife Helen are there, and the two identical sons in the background are their two sons, both of whom died within a month of turning 21. :(

The front stone I call a "railroad tie" -- it's flat and thin and long and has no useful information on it, except that it says "Henry Hardy." In the background are two identical stones for Henry and Helen's two sons, Thomas (left), died June 26, 1907; John (right), died June 5, 1909. As mentioned in the post, both were within a month of turning 21; Thomas died nine days after his birthday, John thirty. Downhill and maybe twenty yards to the right well outside thid image is a daughter, Mary Kyle, who lived in the 1940s and had a few children.

Attorney General Pam Bondi says she has retroactively appointed former Trump attorney Lindsey Halligan as a "special attorney" for DOJ and has "ratified" all of her actions to date, including her presentations to the grand juries that indicted Trump's foes.

My mother's cousin remembers her father talking about how her grandfather (ie., my great-grandfather Allyn) would speak on the phone in German to someone named Henry.

This was a century after my German ancestor arrived.

Was fixing my computer this simple?

My Wifi and Bluetooth could not walk and chew gum at the same time; my 'net connection is Wifi and my speakers are Bluetooth, and when both were active my speakers would frquently cut out.

I changed the Wifi to the 5ghz band, and now all is good.
