Resist infection ✊️ and #WearARespie not a baggy blue, because #SARS-CoV-2 is primarily transmitted through the #airborne route, and the damage to organs and organ systems accumulates in step with the number of infections.

For those maintaining block lists on here for long covid and other diseases....

I have another account for you to add.

See screenshots.

It's a curable app knock off, that says that we can brain retrain for long covid, mecfs, chronic pain, pots, CRPS, etc.

And they are inappropriately
A screenshot of recalibrate with the handle @recalibratepain.bsky.social A post from recalibrate on Twitter that says if you have fibromyalgia, long covid, pots, css, crps, arthritis or any other chronic pain illness please reach out. We want to connect with you. Join our recalibrate app wait list at recalibratepain.com. we are building a community of support connection and education.

Then there is a graphic below with a woman standing with a cane with a text what gets me about my disability isn't that I can't do things it's that I don't know if I will be able to do things. Doing a thing can either put me in bed for days it can be totally fine, no big deal or randomly make me feel better. A screenshot of the recalibrate account over on Twitter inserting themselves onto an mecfs thread advertising. A screenshot of a post from a caliber on Twitter that says Healthcare systems are not set up to handle pain. They are set up to handle injury and sickness. It's difficult, I'm sorry you had this experience. We hope to improve things like this with our recalibrate app coming next year.

Today’s 1984 newspeak is that “infection is good for the immune system” and any attempt to avoid it “weakens us”—Oh the irony that those most against evolution theory in natural science education are those most in favour of Darwinism as the basis of public health and social policy.

A kind reminder that a strong, collective, grassroots #LongCovid movement would be an existential threat to those who pushed mass infection dynamics. Hence, the attacks on the name itself, the concept, the links between the disease and a pandemic driven by a SARS virus

Children are sicker than ever, struggling in school, experiencing developmental delays, and suffering from immune system dysregulation. #LongCovid is now the number 1 chronic illness in children.

Many peer-reviewed science and legions of experts have called for clean air in public schools.

Thinking the levers of power under a Dictatorship of Capital would ever be used to benefit people is a level of imaginative thinking not even a child is capable of.

Hacker News finally cares about long COVID.

Cool. Only took them years of ignoring every post I made until this one.

Read the comments. People are hurting.

Here's the latest variant picture for Europe (excluding the UK), to late September.

The XFG.* "Stratus" variant continued to dominate, growing to 85% frequency.

NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus" grew slightly to 10%.

Here's a map showing the spread of the XFG.1.1 variant. The first sample was reported from Denmark in June. It seems very broadly spread across North America, especially considering the patchy sample volumes over this period.

Locations are approximate - typically country and state/province.

With the NB.1.8.1.* "Nimbus" and XFG.* "Stratus" variants carving up dominance around the globe, it is time to ponder which variant might drive the next wave.

The leading contender at this point is PY.1.1.1.

Did you know it was several decades before handwashing in hospitals was implemented after it was found to be necessary in 1846? We’re in the same boat today, except w/ airborne transmission—yes, in 2025. Unfuckingbelievable. So unnecessary, maddening, irresponsible, & dangerous. #MasksInHealthcare

This isn’t fearmongering — it’s reality. Hospital-acquired COVID can delay care or cost you your health — even your life.

Infection control measures — masks, ventilation, testing, and staff/patient protections — should be standard care in every healthcare setting.

Some day you’ll be in hospital for surgery or chemotherapy or with another illness & a nurse, or doctor or visitor at the next bed, or the patient opposite you will give you a Covid infection & your treatment will get delayed & your life will be put at unnecessary risk.

The deliberate absence of respirator masks and other safety measures in medical settings during the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 is a clear instance of gross negligence. It represents unmistakable evidence of a complete breakdown in fundamental ethics, and should not be accepted.

In the last 5+ years, we should’ve instituted clean indoor air beginning in schools & hospitals, ensured doctors & healthcare workers wear good masks, & properly informed the public abt airborne transmission & the true dangers of COVID. Instead the gov’t opted for basically pretending it all away.

We are literally alarming no one, apart from those already aware and taking precautions. Everyone else is pouring petrol on themselves, and wandering around with a cigarette lighter!! 😬
