You are very small & slow & I am training my cats to eat you; Tina Belcher, but without the kind loving parents. “I’m ok!” Never gives up her dead. Pushing around the weathervane Jesus. My cats have zero chill. “IT WAS BEANS!” “Is it about my cube?”

Remember: You can't force a site or service to treat minors differently than adults without requiring EVERY USER to establish whether they're an adult. Which is, inherently, a deanonymization mandate, because to verify age, you must verify identity.

Because marginalized people are the ones whose speech is most often disapproved of, the burden and consequences of deanonymization laws falls extremely disproportionately on them, and always will. No one should ever support mandatory age verification, ever.

Gavin Newsom is a shitheel who should never be president, but the legislation he vetoed was unconstitutional, poorly written, both underinclusive and overexclusive, a severe privacy infringement for adults, and would have done nothing but cost California lots of money in court (to lose)

It's a good thing, then, that the BCCDC just slashed wastewater monitoring to 1 day of sampling per week (from 3) at 8 WWTPs (from 12). Who needs better monitoring when you can just hide the next pandemic.

This, though I think the issue is not she's running but that @schumer.senate.gov is going to devote stacks of money to make sure she wins the primary.

Primaries are good! Every candidate should face a primary. Party leaders mobilizing massive resources to take sides in a primary is very, very bad.

Not that anybody comes to me for Maine politics, but the fact that the Democrats successfully convinced a 77yo Governor to primary the 41yo progressive, is today's example of why the Democrats fucking stay failing.

Susan Collins is 72 and if Schumer gets his way, she'll be the YOUNGER choice!

Just to be clear: this is about whether schools can observe a child’s preferred name and pronouns without parental agreement. Schools do not help students medically transition and never have.

Alito, joined by Thomas and Gorsuch, suggest that public schools violate the Constitution when they help a student transition (by acknowledging them as trans) without their parents' knowledge or consent.

Would force schools to out trans kids to their parents. www.supremecourt.gov/orders/court...
SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES
JONATHAN LEE, ET AL. v. POUDRE
SCHOOL DISTRICT R–1
ON PETITION FOR WRIT OF CERTIORARI TO THE UNITED
STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE TENTH CIRCUIT
No. 25–89. Decided October 14, 2025
The petition for a writ of certiorari is denied.
Statement of JUSTICE ALITO, with whom JUSTICE
THOMAS and JUSTICE GORSUCH join, respecting the denial
of certiorari.
I concur in the denial of certiorari because petitioners do
not challenge the ground for the ruling below. But I remain
concerned that some federal courts are “tempt[ed]” to avoid
confronting a “particularly contentious constitutional questio[n]”: whether a school district violates parents’ fundamental rights “when, without parental knowledge or consent, it encourages a student to transition to a new gender
or assists in that process.” Parents Protecting Our Children, UA v. Eau Claire Area School Dist., 604 U. S. ___,
___–___ (2024) (ALITO, J., dissenting from denial of certiorari) (slip op., at 1–2) (citing Troxel v. Granville, 530 U. S.
57, 70 (2000) (plurality opinion)). Petitioners tell us that
nearly 6,000 public schools have policies—as respondent allegedly does—that purposefully interfere with parents’ access to critical information about their children’s genderidentity choices and school personnel’s involvement in and
influence on those choices. Pet. for Cert. 24. The troubling—and tragic—allegations in this case underscore the
“great and growing national importance” of the question
that these parent petitioners present. Parents Protecting
Our Children, 604 U. S., at ___ (slip op., at 1).

While some anti-mask policies have failed — a win for workers — there is a larger effort to ban masks in the
U.S. on state and local levels. And more businesses may attempt to ban masks in the workplace even though these policies may violate laws that protect masks as accessibility devices. The Sick Times spoke with five workers affected by anti-mask attitudes in their workplaces, as well as organizers and a disability law expert, about how to push back against these policies.

the chat logs leaked clearly show members are aware they’re posting compromising messages, they’re even talking about how cooked they be if it leaked

bc the social function of extremist rhetoric is that in-group members bond and attain status by transgressing with one another as witnesses
