Like, I don't want specifics but there's a pretty big difference between sudden illness, self harm, or murder. And I feel like these times are important for the community to reflect on these things and how we can better care for each other.

A Mum in a community I'm in has died and I want to respect the family's privacy, but no one is saying what happened. Healthy, thirties, bunch of kids.

I've been side eyeing her husband but saw a relative calling him a wonderful father. Soo something else? Or is Aunty ick?

What the Twitter takeover did so effectively was fracture the way we get our news. If, for example, I want to get in-depth updates on Sudan I still check in with Twitter as that's where a lot of the biggest accounts are. There's no one-stop shop anymore.

And that is truly the benefit of having healthy, able bodied kids! You should be able to ignore them and let them live their best weird little lives without constant supervision! It's how it should be!!

It's the thing my kid doesn't get that makes me most sad for him. The constant vigilance sucks.

My review of Monster: The Ed Gein Story

I am not being hyperbolic when I say this is one of the worst television shows I have ever seen in my whole 40 years on this planet. That this bears absolutely zero resemblance to the real Ed Gein is one thing in and of itself, but even if this was about a completely fictional murderer (which it essentially IS), it would be baffling and indefensible. By the time history's greatest lover and friend Ed Gein starts speaking in an Irish accent and solving crimes, the show is so far gone you have to just fucking accept it. This is what you've chosen to do with your precious time. You've committed eight hours to the absurdist rehabilitation of Ed Gein, misunderstood victim who lit up every room he entered. After all, aren't we the monsters or whatever? Who lives, who dies, who tells his stoooory?

I found a 19th century Cat Villain!

A huge chonk of a fluffy cat sitting on a table near an open fire. The cat is cream and grey and appears to be shaped like a barrel in a fur coat. They are scowling fiercely with their moustache and bewhiskered ears apparently flowing back into the cold wind. There's a definite vibe that this villainous cat twirls their moustache as they evict orphans into the aforementioned blizzard and think Scrooge was an easy-going lightweight. They are magnificent.

It's definitely too 90's for me. It did do a great job of reminding me how women were treated when I was growing up. And I really do not need to witness that again. The bad CGI was much more tolerable.

I'm not sure that some people know that thebpic on the right is exactly what the voice actor Erika Iishi looks like.

They are beautiful and wonderful. It feels incredibly disrespectful to talk about how the character looks without talking about the person the character model is based on.

In Australia they have a long persistent history of refusing to provide supplies to LGBTQ+ people on the street. Their work will always be tainted for me.

I always wonder how many kids have been injured from falling out of them or into the stuff in the wagon with them.

I see lots of parents of disabled kids using them to cart the kid plus all the crap they need, but they rarely seem to be secured in a safe supportive way. It makes me so anxious.
