Sheriff Wayne Ivey announced the launch of the Sheriff’s High Intensity Target Unit and highlighted its first action at a home on Seneca Drive. The property was demolished by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office after officials said it had generated repeated law enforcement calls and was allegedly linked to ongoing criminal activity and neighborhood disturbances. Ivey said the new unit was created to address problem properties like this one and warned that another nearby house is next to be targeted under the operation.
