If people have Diary of a CEO brain, you can tell them literally anything. “I *do* take lunch but the way I avoid stopping is to just put data between two slices of bread”

My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

Running out of words to describe what’s happening in America.

How about fucking outrageous.

To put it mildly, Robert Jenrick is a complete imbecile who does not know what he is talking about:

And of course citing cases which do exist but don't make the points the client says they do.

There will be so much of this, but the scary bit is that even after being told that the AI they are using has made stuff up, they will still rely on it when it supports their view, without checking.

This lurid headline is about British tourists no longer getting away with overstaying in Schengen. Or being 'illegals', as it's often called in the UK.

Handsworth's problems are not its people but a post industrial dismantling and lack of investment. Similar impacting 'white' areas elsewhere. An attitude of condescending contempt and a disastrous display of incompetence from a series of arrogant, self-serving politicians does not help.

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

This. People eligible for the flu vaccine are not eligible for the updated COVID booster. That makes zero sense
cvcev.bsky.social
The MILLIONS of people who were denied vaccines are suddenly realising.

@rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social this was a terrible idea.

Not only will the NHS struggle this autumn / winter, but people will suffer and die unnecessarily.

It isn't too late for a U-turn!
Community Pharmacy England

Q

Pharmacy teams have reported major issues to us over the last two days related to large numbers of patients booking COVID-19 vaccinations via the National Booking System (NBS) who are not eligible for the vaccine this winter.

We are working with NHS England to try to address this unacceptable situation and to get more NHS communications issued to help people understand whether they are eligible for the vaccine.

In the meantime, we have created three posters that pharmacy teams can use to help explain about vaccine eligibility this winter:

@edgreenwood.bsky.social did this at uni, for a sketch show. Hid my existence from almost everyone he knew, until I went onstage. While it got big laughs, it also made some people baffled and outraged. People shouted "is there a MIRROR??" Very satisfying, would recommend
