Huge congratulations to Maria Corina Machado who has won the Nobel Imperialism Prize for steadfastly supporting Israel's genocide and calling on the US to invade her own country so she can be installed as puppet leader while Trump takes Venezuela's oil ♥️

IDK, I'm not sure someone who supports American imperialism and wants to sell off state-owned utilities and natural resources (like oil) screams "peace". But what do I know? Also, this

Apparently our newest Nobel Peace Prize winner wrote to fucking Netanyahu for help in overthrowing the government of her own country dawg
The population of Venezuela needs international protection against the widespread and systematic attack to which the Venezuelan regime subjects it. This is demonstrated by the report dated May 29, 2018, submitted by the Organisation of American States to the International Criminal Court. This has served as the basis for nine states, including Argentina, to file complaints against the regime before that international body. We deeply appreciate this effort, which is decisive for the outcome of the Venezuelan tragedy.

I am convinced that the international community, in accordance with the responsibility to protect doctrine, is called upon to provide Venezuelans with the necessary support to bring about the regime change that is urgently needed to restore national and international security. Therefore, I have recently sent letters to several of the world’s leading figures to promote before the United Nations Security Council the adoption of effective protection measures for Venezuela by fostering regime change, a step that necessarily entails strengthening international security. Today I want to ask Israel and Argentina to contribute their expertise and influence to advance a sound and urgent decision-making process in the Security Council.

Such measures are imperative in the face of a hemispheric security hotspot like the one currently posed by the regime oppressing Venezuela. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organisation for Migration have certified that the current refugee crisis of people fleeing Venezuela is the largest in the history of the Americas. Argentina is an example of this crisis, having welcomed hundreds of thousands of our compatriots—a gesture for which Venezuelans will always be grateful. However, we must be aware that without a change of regime in our country, hemispheric and global security will be at risk.

Indeed he did, but then again, he's reneged on every promise he made. He's in Murdoch's pocket and always has been.

You can't stick out your chin and say "polls at this point mean nothing" when people post Labour polling at 17% if you were clucking, gloating, throwing up at Labour polling at 27% in early 2017, bucko.

Always ironic when Polly "Wrong about everything, always" Toynbee is hand-wringing in the Grauniad, as she stood as an SDP candidate in 1983 ensuring that Labour then lost what had been a fairly safe seat to Thatcher's Tories. Thatch couldn't have done it without ol' Poll!

What happened to anyone who seriously threatened to reverse any part of the Thatcherite revolution? Who was it that enforced those penalties. There’s your answer, and there’s who is to blame.

Tonight Newham Labour councillors voted unanimously to reject full divestment of Newham’s pension fund from complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

@newhamgreens.bsky.social and Newham Independents fought strongly but Labour blocked it.

We won’t stop - now we take the fight to the ballot box.

Great stuff. Would imagine it'll be a while until he gets a seat on the BBC again, and the tax-dodging billionaires who own the media are REALLY going to get after him now.

It's bollocks. A lot of pubs, even in Liverpool city centre, close on Monday nights now because no-one goes out. Do these dickheads think people are going to start drinking until 2am on a schoolnight?

A cool charity in Hoxton that teaches & gives disadvantaged kids skills in filmmaking has asked me a question:

Any female animators want to take part in a mentorship programme they run?

They've been doing good work for 25+ years.
