Wasn't this fella blathering on about how government means making the tough choices, at the cost of popularity, while justifying a budget that rewards developers and screws middle income workers, people with disabilities, and the elderly just a few days ago?

Turns out that when Americans said "If it weren't for us you'd be speaking German now..." their objection was to learning a second language, not fascism.

I'm confident there are Radiohead cover bands with better posters than this.

(Read the alt text btw)

This is one of the worst band posters I've ever seen. Why does Yorkie look like he's hosting the Weakest Link? Why does Selway look like a geography teacher who pretends to be a woman online? And why does Greenwood looks like a villager in a Hammer Horror film?
Radiohead are a band from England who were a very big deal in the late 1990s. In many ways they were the true successor to Nirvana in their combination of contemplative lyrics and hoofing guitar riffs. But as the years went by, pop music started to get really fucking good again and nobody wanted to listen to some pretentious Zionist complain about the price of avocados at the farmers market.

Also - they were sued by the Dad of the guitarist from the Strokes because they plagiarised one of his songs in "Creep".

"I would smear the bejaysus out of her, simply because you've nothing to lose... you've got to create a fear... in my experience, nothing works like negative campaigning."

They're really openly saying the quiet part out loud now aren't they...🤔

Ah lads, it took two (2!) journalists to copy and paste the AI reviews summary and post an affiliate link?

Sounds interesting, but is there some way to view online?

When you hear disingenuous smears of Catherine Connolly's work as a barrister, please keep Seána's point here in mind.

The irish presidential election is basically now between "dog fighting transphobe" and "woman who destroys children in soccer matches"

I will be voting for Connoly in support of her war on childrens egos.

Not going to share 'grift' but Heather Humphreys has just said that I'm a man and the gender recognition act should be changed. Please do not vote for or give a preference for her. Having someone as president who thinks this way would be absolutely awful for minorities #SpeirGorm

Voters: "The EU Parliament doesn't really seem to do anything, seems kinda useless"

EU Parliament: "Oh yeah? Could a useless parliament do this?!" *pants fall down, trips over, falls into orchestra pit and gets stuck head first in a tuba*

Got an email from Amazon to be part of their invite only "Brands of Ireland" campaign which apparently aims to help businesses for Black Friday, Christmas etc. Sounds nice but Amazon is a killer of small businesses and they can fuck Black Friday. Buy independent and buy local when you can.

Offering an olive branch to our American social media colleagues, in the form of this little slice of knowledge:

If you're disgusted by a brand claiming a day as their own & getting away with, simply encourage 2 men to strip off & strum each other's penis like a guitar in the middle of the street.

Gavin has shown himself unfit to be President. This is why we should let our current President take a third term, despite his age. Who cares what the constitution says.

We are about to do it. After a lot, a lot of work and money and time, we are launching our third full TTRPG as a collective of Leftist artists who are obsessed with body horror, want to make replayable and approachable and wildly imaginative games, and have no training in business.

Look at what we could have. look at what our tax dollars could pay for. Instead we’re paying to have ICE pepper spray directly into the air hole of a guy in an inflatable frog costume

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."
