Of all the news in this NYT survey of sitting federal judges - incl 47 of them think the SCt is mishandling its emergency docket - maybe the biggest is that 65 sitting fed judges (37D, 28R), folks circumspect for a living, responded to a NYT survey. Stunning. And a sign that something is very wrong.

A Homeland Security Investigations special agent was also charged with producing child sexual abuse material. 17yo girl, videos found on her phone. Customs and Border Protection officer charged with uploading child pornography.

like seriously team, I know y'all are working on both improving Discover and on better reply sentiment filtering and all, but it's going to take a while to tune it properly and a "never show my post on Discover" setting would be a 10 minute fix that would get 65% of why people want private accounts

For more than 20 years I relied on the MMWR for news every week on what was going on, disease-wise, around the country. You often got excellent blow-by-blows about disease outbreaks.

Look, I've never skeeted about this before but when I was at NYT I was involved in a sexual harassment thing. I was not the person lodging the complaint (nor was I the harasser). I was a corroborating witness let's say. Anyway, NYT did the right thing and fired the harasser.

Wow. Greg Bovino admits on camera that his agents can detain people if you look scared, change your demeanor, or grip a steering wheel too tight.

As his unmasked agents walk around with large guns to scare you, they may arrest you just for that — even if you're a U.S. citizen.

Encourage lawyers to weigh in but broad journalism exceptions can protect donors (remember we all hooted at Becker for trying to get @wedge.live’s), maybe even in paid placement & criticizing electeds close to election ok as long as not express calls to defeat (I think). i know people are eager to show MPD working with ICE but you really gotta slow down and verify info before sharing it. what are MPD supposed to do if they get called in, just not respond? but if they do, then it gets painted as ICE collaboration based on photos without info. dangerous stuff here
