One of my hobbies is rescuing #pigeons. City pigeons are prone to #stringfoot, where their feet get tied up in string, elastic, netting, & most often human hair. I catch them, de-string them, release them. I post with #CatchThePigeon over on Masto. Figured I should start a thread for it here.

Arden from Trans Atlantic (my arch nemesis) is doing a talk about atheists who give up on skepticism as soon as trans people are involved like Dawkins, Harris etc

She's looking for clips of them saying bullshit, like Dawkins's "pretty damn binary"

Have you got any good ones you can think of?! ❤️

Right, I have replaced the most broken roof sheet on the chicken run, trimmed a few branches on the out of control willow trees, and fed all my pets. I have a cuppa, an almond croissant, and some tissues to hand.

#HazbinHotelFinale let's do this. #HazbinHotel

Because Green parties are full of geeks and nerds you know that this isn't pie-in-the-sky thinking or just words with no grounding in reality. They've costed this. They've dotted every i and double checked every decimal point.
At the Budget, the Green Party's message is clear: Cut Bills. Tax Billionaires.

Over two decades ago, a Labour government repealed “Section 28” which aimed to prevent positive discussions about homosexuality and gay lives in schools. Now a Labour government pursues transphobia and erases trans and non-binary lives. Today’s political transphobia is basically recycled homophobia.
Twenty-two years ago today Section 28 was repealed.

But we're seeing history repeat itself as some in the media and in politics spread bigotry and misinformation about trans people.

It's the job of the creators to make me pay more attention to their story than I expected to.

I have ALWAYS needed a second thing to focus on while watching stuff. It's one reason I rarely go to the cinema. Used to be solitaire & jigsaw puzzles. Now it's social media & crochet.
Okay but am I the only one noticing that more and more movies/shows are doing this whole lazy schtick more often? Entirely because movies are being made DUMBER with the assumption you're also folding laundry or on your phone?
