Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world,... I feel like I can't take it. And my heart is just going to cave in.

If you listen to "Gender Critical" folk, apparently no women can ever be predatory, violent, or harmful.

They're a safeguarding nightmare tbh... And their rhetoric puts so many (especially children) in danger.

"It's just a little _____, it's still good, it's still good!" when I drop food or eat something that's a bit overcooked or slightly past its expiration date.

what's the stupidest/randomest Simpsons quote that lives in your head rent free? Mine is the urge to say "you said go to bread" every time I am about to head to bed.

My lil bro sent me this and it's true, this is why Showa Godzilla is undefeated
showa era godzilla movies kick ass because the kaiju fights are like 70% pro wrestling bullshit and 25% wizard duels but then the other 5% is just comically realistic street violence. like when every single monster gets together to take turns curb stomping king ghidorah

It's escalated to the point of comparing the orchestrator of the Holocaust to a streamer who was falsely accused of using a shock collar

It was funny when the people making those recommendations thought all of Heisei was dark and gritty. When it has some of the goofiest moments close to late Showa era.

Also personally love the stupid ones. Showed my GF Mothra Vs and GMK as introduction.

One of my biggest peeves are ppl who treat the original, Shin, & -1 as the only "legitimately good" films in the franchise because they're "dark & serious." I CAN'T STAND how films that are more fantastical are looked down as lesser just because they earnestly embrace that type of storytelling.

Always weird to see Godzilla recommendation lists that are ONLY the "dark" installments. If you're scared that someone might not be able to handle a lighthearted take on "giant dinosaur wandering around," then I've got some bad news about how that person is gonna handle about a million other films.
