It's time to remove laptops from classrooms.

24 experiments: Students learn more and get better grades after taking notes by hand than typing. It's not just because they're less distracted—writing enables deeper processing and more images.

The pen is mightier than the keyboard.

Trigger warning.

“In crashes, SUVs are more likely to strike vital organs in the core of adults’ bodies & heads of children. Hitting pedestrians above their center of gravity means they’re more likely to be knocked forward & down and then be driven over.”

Plus more likely to hit in the 1st place.

By focusing the political debate on the wrong issue, Europe’s car industry may well turn into the next industrial policy train wreck.

The real risk is a costly muddle of regulatory rollbacks, bailouts, and a patch work of national subsidies - only for the sector to slow-walk into oblivion anyway

They always start by saying it's legitimate to be concerned about flows, but ultimately the rage is about the stock. Think I've first said this as a silly quip ten years ago, and well, here we are
To remove indefinite leave to remain from people who already have it they'd have to dismantle our entire system of rights legislation and probably end judicial independence.

But they could do that with a majority. They've said they'd do that.

Almost every headline today screams that Europe has been humiliated, Trump wins, and we’ll pay 15% tariffs.

That story is wrong.

Trump hasn’t won. The EU hasn’t lost. And Americans—not Europeans—will foot the bill.

My latest piece explains why this deal may actually be a small win for Europe. 👇
Trump didn’t win. Europe didn’t lose
The new tariff deal looks like a humiliation for the EU. In reality, Americans will foot the bill—and Europe may have scored a quiet victory

Europa’s beste optie: de “carry on as you were” strategie: een al bij al beperkt maar symbolisch pakket maatregelen. Nu China reageert en markten dalen, stijgt de druk in Washington sneller dan in Brussel.

This thread can be applied to practically any ground breaking science on social media. "Scientists at [university w good Marketing division] discovered a treatment that could potentially [cure disease]"
This is fun, I'm being science-splained on BlueSky because I pointed out that a viral post saying that a "groundbreaking" treatment for Alzheimer's disease was er...tested in rats. Apparently I do not understand the research process. It's like Twitter in the old days!

Maybe switch to Mastercard for credit payments
Musk is developing a payment app in partnership with Visa. Additionally, his staff has connected external hard drives to CFPB systems, raising serious concerns about unauthorized access to trade secrets from enforcement actions involving companies that compete with his future ventures.
