I was more frustrated that the other boss died to a stupid mcguffin. The post-game is written rather cringy, cause literally everyone goes "why are we still doing this", I'd skip the dialogues haha

the gameplay is astonishing though, and it was cool to play through early access and see it expand

yeah, I can see your point and I've already read better endings that people have proposed. But to me it was rather straightforward, no subversion whatsoever - the game established that the bad guy is unkillable so I thought character assassination would be the only way to murder him

it started out as a simple "face-lift" for an indie Ukrainian game and turned into a fully-customized deckbuilder with people all around the world contributing pixel art, 2d art, sound design, etc. There's still a room for improvement (and we're working on it), but it's crazy how far we've come

Our heroes are our main draw:
- a tanky lion that can fortify himself and deal ridiculous damage
- a sneaky frog that can split dice and play multiple debuffs per turn
- a powerful wizard with 3 different Imps that create ridiculous combos. he may be a crow, but he's my GOAT, very fun to play

Dice Legends is a StS-like with dice rolls and RPG elements - over the course of the production we've added character stats, random events with dice rolls, and a sprawling storyline written by Rafal Jaki of Cyberpunk Edgerunners fame 🙂
