Look, just because the US government looks like Nazis, quotes Nazis, endorses Nazis, and acts like Nazis, doesn’t mean they’re Nazis

*holds hand to earpiece*

I’m being told it does in fact mean they’re Nazis

Wow. That's… that actually sounds like they've learned the lessons of last year and see that they can win on this issue, across the board. I really hope it sticks.
This follows the news that the minibus spending bill has no restrictions on gender-affirming care either. It looks like Democrats dug their heels in on this one and won.

The minibus spending bill is out! This is for the Commerce, Justice, Science; Energy and Water Development; and Interior and Environment Appropriations Act, 2026. Notably, there are no restrictions for gender-affirming care or trans care in here.

I am founding a not-for-profit website where independent comic creators and small publishers can easily sell their works to libraries, plus provide other services. Called (for now) the Comics Librarian Commons, this will be an online hub bringing independent creators and librarians together.

Our beloved Portland frog was arrested last night for doing what he does best - protesting.

This was following the shooting in Portland of 2 people by US Border Patrol agents. Charged with 2nd degree interfering with a police officer at the ICE facility, he was released shortly after his arrest.

The perfect two sentence story.
When I was 23, I saw a bunch of really cute velvet furniture on the side of the road, totally nice. Took it in and a year later a friend’s new gf came to my house and it turns out I’d stolen her entire living room while she was moving.

My take on people wearing face masks is very simple:

It's not my face, so I mind my own business.

That's it. That's the whole take.

Chris is the best. Subscribe to Law Dork — immediately — if you haven't already! (and then, consider subscribing to me for more on judicial nominations/diversity-related issues: nominationnotes.com)
OK, a little pie-in-the-sky goal here: Any chance we could get Law Dork 549 new subscribers — free or paid — before the new year?

That would give Law Dork 80,000 total subscribers!

If you've relied on my work this year, share this with your recommendation!

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have shown Alzheimer’s disease can be REVERSED- not just prevented. Using a potent neuroprotective compound called P7C3-A20, they found RESTORING balance to a central cellular energy molecule (NAD+) not only PREVENTED disease features but REVERSED them, EVEN at late stages.

It’s always the parents that are protected and centered, but never the kids. Nor does this narrative address the culture that forces children to “honor thy father and mother.” We are morally obligated to endure our parent’s behavior because they are our “blood” and family.
Yeah, no thanks.

Stop guilting people about being estranged from family members. It someone is they likely have personal reasons for being so.

look at how little effort it takes for someone on the conservative grievance circuit to destroy a life

millions of college kids have half assed an assignment at the last minute, you eat the F and move on

but the effort to push trans people out of public life will use whatever it can get
Worth noting that the student admits that she just threw the thing together in 30 minutes without reading the paper she was supposed to be responding to.
