I have nuance, like collage elements or breaking render logic or memes with hyperreality, but those are lesser evils.

But I don't think the problem is "no soul." The computer is too neurotypical to have an opinion, much less a soul. It PASSES the Turing test too smoothly. We, the testers, fail.

Art is a product of endless, endless decisions, every single stroke, informed by your intent, your history, your reflexes, your various tastes. What you put there is what you think is better than what you didn't.

AI art will never "feel like art" inasmuch as it can't make decisions, only consensus.

The commissioned inktobers are coming along in the times my various mental illnesses reach a state of fragile truce and allow a diplomatic non-self-indulgent (amicindulgent?) artwork to resume work, before they start bombing again. It's either the Balkans up here, or Mr. Burns' germs in the doorway.

I have had werewolves on the brain for the last 38 hours, incessantly. The little white rat who lives in my head wanted to be one and live out her horrible wonderful childhood yearning. So inktober today is this.

An anthropomorphic white rat girl - short stack - screams. Animorphs style, further transformations behind her, staring at her growing claws, until a hulking werewolf with red rat eyes and cowlicky white mane lashes a sparsely furred rat tail and hunches over. All black and white but bright red mouth and eyes.

Besides linking Tylenol in pregnant women to autism, RFK Jr. now says circumcision is part of the reason why kids are autistic.

"Children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, and it's highly likely because they're given Tylenol. None of this is positive..."
