The last time my family drove down to Tennessee I woke up convinced that we'd somehow taken a wrong turn into West Virginia (while avoiding a crash) not because the trees or anything looked dramatically different, but because the yts looked so... different 😭.
if you were a passenger asleep in a car and you fell asleep in NC and woke up in TN, you wouldn't be able to tell unless somebody told you or you located yourself. same with SC and GA. most all the states in the south def look alike.
