Great to see the early reactions for Zootopia 2 are great. Hopefully it might even surpass Lost in Starlight as my favourite animated film of the year when I see it on Saturday, but the only thing I’m not looking forward to with all this great word of mouth is this…

“Here’s where Buzz finally learns he’s just a toy. But one thing is off about this. It’s this room. The adult sleeping in the recliner is obviously into hunting, with the duck wallpaper and the deer head mounted on the wall, there are cans strewn about that say Cola and Root Beer but we should take
Yeah, judging by the way the TV looked AND the abundance of cans in Sid's Dad (assuming that's his dad)'s room, it definitely creates awkward subtext.

Who could forget Toy Story 2's incredible climax?

My review of Free Guy on Letterboxd will probably be one of my proudest moments. (Hear me out, it’s relevant to this)

Shout out to user GCotton2154 for his kind words.

When I went to see Wicked for Good, the cinema had a spare little section for pop up movie promotions and I found this…

I’m not sure if this’ll be a hot take or not, but I actually really enjoyed it!
I understand some of the criticisms that people have said about the pacing and how the Wizard of Oz elements are put in, but, still a really solid conclusion regardless.
I’m not expecting it to be as good as the first, but hopefully the title isn’t a lie and it’s still “good” overall!

Absolutely, and honestly, I don’t think most recent Disney movies would get the hate they got if they were made by someone else. Like I guarantee Elio wouldn’t have gotten the hate it got if it was made by any other studio or if it was a 2D anime film but the film’s still the same. Prove me wrong.
If social media existed back in the 80s and/or the 2000s, I guarantee the same shit being said about Disney today would be said then.

Hope the Academy security is high right now, cause I’ve heard one person I got into a conflict with earlier this year legitimately say he’ll take them hostage if Elio gets nominated and especially over Ne Zha 2.

I’m now worried.
The Academy has officially unveiled the animated films that are eligible for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature this year. A lot of interesting picks this year. Curious which ones will be nominated.

Even if you do take away all the transphobia stuff with Rowling, I always feel this series is just as pointless as the Disney live action remakes as even though, yes they are just new adaptations, the original 8 movies really felt like a ‘Lightning in a bottle’ deal and can’t be done any better.
Now this is something that people WOULD actually hate watch, but I am telling you, DON'T!

The last thing we need is money going to that evil witch using that money to ruining the lives of innocent people!

But for the love of God, please DON'T go after the kids involved in this!
HBO CEO Casey Bloys says 'HARRY POTTER' Season 2 is already being written

"We’re going to do whatever we can to not have a huge gap, for the kids, obviously, but also for viewers"

Oh yeah, it’s confirmed. I’m WAY more hyped for this than Toy Story 5
Pixar just dropped a new trailer for Hoppers this morning. I'm gonna be honest, this might be my most anticipated animated film of next year. You can really feel Daniel Chong's energy in this and it really looks like Pixar's craziest film, even more than Turning Red. I'm hyped.

Mf’s nearly a centurion and is only hated for being the mascot for an evil corporation when he got away with shit like this for decades without being cancelled. lol.
Happy 97th birthday to our favorite trigger-happy, beer drinking, perverted, woman-bothering mascot, Mickey Mouse!

You're an inspiration to us all!

You’re probably expecting Kpop Demon Hunters, Sinners, Elio or a few others, but you might be surprised it’s actually this movie that I’m sure most of you haven’t seen or heard of, but if you do get the chance to watch it, please do so.

Do you guys remember why people didn’t like Gus Van Sant’s Psycho remake and why those kinds of remakes were not common back then?

Apparently Disney and now even DreamWorks don’t.

On the topic. Most people tend to forget that casting celebrities of the time period in animated films has always been a thing long before Shrek or Aladdin. Jerry Beck said it best in the Pinocchio bts documentary that THAT film really was the first to have famous voices like Cliff Edwards,-

In light of a certain horse’s new video on the topic, I’d also recommend people to watch this video cause it does a much better job at explaining the problems with celebrity voice acting than just “use real voice actors” and “celebrities bad”.
I highly recommend watching my best friend @animatedantic.bsky.social video on the newest Smurfs video as he highlights the on-going problem with celebrity voice acting. 😊

This is why even though I still stand by as a Disney fan (their works not the company) I hate Disney plus and hardly ever use it anyway unless absolutely necessary and mostly stick with physical media.

🧵 THIS on the other hand, I’m excited!
The new characters and their actors do seem very promising. (I know Brie Larson has been in a lot of controversy over the years, but she does sound charming as Rosalina so far and hopefully she’ll do her heartbreaking backstory justice, and Benny Safdie as -

Even as a someone on the side who loved Toy Story 4, I really still don’t know how to feel about this. Andrew Stanton is obviously a promising sign, but I’m still cautious to where this ‘technology bad’ plot will go. And yes, I hope they do give a good explanation why Woody is back. Still 50/50.

Today is the day we remember everyone who died for their country during WW1. Even well over a century later, their legacies must never be forgotten. For this occasion, Let me share one of the most poignant moments in tv history. The iconic final scene in Blackadder.

Never thought I’d be popular enough to be followed by a popular animated movie character, but I’m all for it!
November 10, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Didn’t we have these stupid controversies years ago with the popular adult cartoons like South Park and Family Guy etc? Age ratings and post watershed timeslots are there for a reason you know.
lol we made it once again gang!
