I lost my job, I can't afford turkey or pie, and my kids have measles. But at least I'm not seeing any trans people in the Macy's parade.

Rewatching Stranger Things and am again record-scratching on the anachronisms.
- Jonathan’s haircut is early 00s. (Needs straight ends, not spiky)
- Max’s entire look is early 90s (needs bangs at minimum)
- Robin’s hair is completely modern (needs side part, more length, curled under ends, bangs)

And none of those people refer to themselves as Americans. There is no great misunderstanding about who people are talking about when they complain about Americans. This is a silly non-issue.

What a time in history to hear the words “The American Revolution is made possible by the support of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and viewers like you.”

Playbook | While Marjorie Taylor Greene was celebrated in Washington for forswearing toxic politics, her internal polling showed she'd have to go back to harassing school shooting survivors if she wanted to win another Republican primary.

Apparently I’m still thinking about this. Like, did he just manage to round up a bunch of antisocial CODAs to become his henchmen? Or did he send them to classes? Or was learning ASL a gesture of loyalty his people had to master before entering his inner circle? I need to know more about this!
Black Rabbit was good, but I really need a whole series about Mancuso and how he built an army of ASL-fluent gangsters to run his criminal empire.

You forgot:
3. Within one generation, no one will be competent enough to catch the errors because they never had to do the work themselves in the first place.
Being an AI-enabled worker is essentially about letting AI do all of your work and being competent enough to review & catch its errors.

This leads to two outcomes:
1. The output gap between the best workers and the average will explode.

2. Entry-level workers are at a massive disadvantage.

Antisemitism is a lot like Qanon child abuse conspiracies in that there’s this real and bad phenomenon and, parallel to that, what can only be described as a large scale mass psychosis about a mostly fictional version of the same phenomenon
