Grosssssss. This is white feminism in a nutshell. “Oh the concentration camp is okay because women work there.” DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF?

AI Delusions Are Leading to Domestic Abuse, Harassment, and Stalking
ChatGPT and other AI chatbots are reinforcing users' delusions about other people — fueling fixations linked to stalking and abuse.

The price is up to $12,100 which is still less than a used pickup or a year's rent on an apartment & this boat can do so much more than a truck (and has living quarters)

One thing that's important to realize now is that, even in a scenario where Dems sweep to a crushing trifecta in 2028, Republicans will use their control of the courts to attempt to continue, as much as they can, to run executive agencies in exile, with DHS/ICE under Biden as the model

registering Black voters making them the base of the Dem Party

training the next gen of Black politicos (eg, Donna Brazile)

Jesse Jackson's '88 DNC speech specifically called for DC statehood, equal pay for women, universal day and date voter registration. Among other things. But that's sticking to my ribs.

Manoomin — or wild rice — is an important cultural food source for Anishinaabe peoples throughout the Great Lakes. Once abundant throughout the region, its existence has been threatened by dams and environmental pressures.

Today, there’s an effort to restore it: youtu.be/fTp-337qZYQ

Rev. Jesse Jackson's "I *am* somebody..." remains one of the all-time great pieces of 20th century rhetoric / agitprop

And he could deliver it at a Black separatist meeting, the Democratic National Convention, or on god-blessed Sesame Street (see below 🥹)

How come none of you have ever informed me that Spotted Salamanders have a symbiotic relationship with algae that grow in their eggs (algae supply larvae with oxygen and sugar)? That algae may live within them and pass to future generations?

Algae Living inside Salamanders Aren't Happy about the Situation
The world’s only known vertebrate–microbe symbiosis appears to be good for the salamander, but stressful for the alga. So why do they put up with it?

One reason Republicans are so laser targeted on trans kids existing, is that trans kids existing requires accepting the bodily autonomy and consent of children.

Which is something republicans absolutely can't do, since they are pedophiles.

Their transphobia and pedophilia is them being consistent

A toddler is dead in Calgary because we allow these jacked up SUVs with very minimal forward visibility. The drivers of these can’t see people in the crosswalk.

When will these be banned?

How about looking into how little of this windshield was left to actually see through with all these accessories and decals were added! WTAF!

Used to be that robber barons would give away vast sums of wealth to charitable causes to launder their reputations. Now the billionaires just try to control the narrative by buying up the media companies
Fascinating chart with one outlier: Warren Buffett.

At the low end, giving 0.06% of one's wealth is equivalent to:

Net worth -> Lifetime Giving
50K->$30
100K->$60
500K->$300
$1M->$600

Most folks give far more by % in a *single year*.

The people who have to insure our homes and cars know that climate change is real, because it affects their bottom line. It's not that regulating emissions is bad for business; it's just bad for a small number of industries that happen to be very powerful.
The American Academy of Actuaries warns that dismantling NCAR would degrade the catastrophe models insurers depend on to price climate risk—driving up premiums and threatening coverage availability nationwide.

ICE doesn't ever "leave" any state. There will continue to be ICE and CBP enforcement actions as there were during previous presidents. Hillary Clinton was saying this in her remarks. She doesn't like the visible violence but she is fine with "regular" violence.

This is all true but when I have doomerism, it’s from the knowledge that this party — aside from a small minority — is corrupt, ideologically compromised, and will resist with all its will to do what is actually necessary
When Ds are back in charge, they have to change everything. No moderate half-measures. Just relentless razing of the corrupt institutions that enriched the worst people in the world and propped up fascism.

Things will have to get much worse but these people literally were in the Capitol during an attempted coup and then went back to normal behavior not long after.

They have to think the system is trying to kill them too and they somehow don’t yet.

If you are wondering what words the all-male Congress found so "blasphemous" that they felt compelled to literally scrape them off the monument, they were: ''Woman, first denied a soul, then called mindless, now arisen, declared herself an entity to be reckoned.''
On this day in 1921, Congress reluctantly accepted a sculpture memorializing women’s 19th A victory. Congress relegated the memorial to the Capitol’s crypt & painted over the feminist inscription. The statue stayed entombed in the crypt for 76 years. The inscription is still not restored. #WeTheMen
