Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

IMO the original post stinks like the bait-iest bait I’ve ever seen baited
saying something like this without receipts is pretty funny bc the only way you get to a point where you think the computer is being “introspective” is by having what has to be an incredibly embarrassing conversation with the computer
LLMs are capable of certain forms of introspection and have really good theory of mind. They have increasing levels of situational awareness (which is making it difficult to test them because they know they’re being tested!) I personally don’t think they’re conscious but it’s not a settled question.
