This kind of partisan political message, under the guise of a public service announcement, is illegal on several levels.

Thank you @nytopinion.nytimes.com for publishing this rot. Marc Rowan has run hundreds of companies into the dust to extract profits from their failure and bankruptcies. Now he wants to do the same to American higher education. Do not believe a word this man says. 1/ www.nytimes.com/2025/10/10/o...

Trump’s new national security memo (NSPM-7) designates the following as terrorism "indicators":

🟥Anti-capitalism
🟥Anti-Christianity
🟥Anti-Americanism
🟥Extremism on gender
🟥Extremism on race

This encompasses pretty much everybody to the left of MAGA.

Why the fuck is it always blue hair? This one thing has them so triggered and it feels like … fifteen years out of date, as a stereotype?

But if it isn't the corrupting influence of money, why else would Americans have elected a racist authoritarian?

this is just disgusting. and shows I think why continued protests are necessary.

genocide denial is evil. it's evil if you're doing it to protect Bibi, it's evil if you're doing it to protect Harris. just cut this shit out.

Platner ftw. For policy reasons and vibes reasons. Mills has neither on her side.
bensaufley.com
Gotta love that Mills first blocked No Tax on Tips and *then* (reportedly) entered the senate race. I don't even care about that issue. I even get why she opposes it. But it's a pretty broadly popular policy that she didn't have to have a stance on and she chose to become even more unpopular.

MAGA and its agenda are *wildly* unpopular, and media are hugely out of touch for not saying so. Politicians who tap into this reality will thrive, and media outlets that reflect this truth will earn enormous audiences.

A… a decade? Man I only started using rgb(a) at all within the last, I dunno, five years? It was all SASS and hex before that. And I feel like my experience is a lot less legacy/enterprise than many. I only learned rgba was deprecated from stylelint this year.
kevinpowell.co
I think the biggest giveaway that CSS has been generated using some sort of LLM (outside of the mistakes it might have made) is that they all seem to use `rgba()` or `hsla()`.

Is there so much training stuff out there still using the `a` with those? We haven't needed it for like a decade now.

Wow how did they get a goal when there's a defender tossing himself on the ball like it's a grenade? I was certain that was a pen. #UpTheHearts messy goal but they all count the same

God that halftime stat with Morse leading the league (?) in saves but still being 5th in GAPG was kind of sobering. #UpTheHearts are an exciting expansion team but still an expansion team. Cracks really showing the last few games

Three key points:
1) The admin has been planning mass firings to begin in October since February
2) The work necessary to carry out mass firings is illegal during a shutdown, violating the Antideficiency Act, which carries a criminal penalty
3) This harms America, ridding us of talent and expertise

Federal agents aren’t trying to keep the peace. They want violence to escalate so that Trump can declare martial law.

They shot a reverend in the head with pepper balls while he was praying in front of an ICE facility. If that doesn’t tell you where we are as a country, nothing will.

Pretty insane stuff from DHS Acting General Counsel Joseph Mazzara:

www.thehandbasket.co/p/dhs-fps-me...
Accordingly, if an individual across the street from a federal building throws a rock or bottle at FPS officers on federal property, as many of these rioters are wont to do, FPS can leave federal property and either arrest the malefactors or take other appropriate action in line with FPS's continuum of force policies. FPS could even enter a private residence containing an identified sniper blocks away from a federal facility in order to eliminate that exigent threat. There is simply no legal barrier to FPS taking action off federal property where a reasonable nexus to protecting that property exists.

The thing for me is it seems like a reasonable question to ask… with a pretty reasonable answer. But it's not really being treated as asked-and-answered and that feels bad-faith.

i am seeing a lot of this and it's not true, fwiw.

Platner worked for Constellis in 2018; it's true that Constellis is the successor company to Blackwater after a bunch of name changes and mergers and acquisitions, but Erik Prince stopped being involved in 2010.
elizdelg.bsky.social
My issue with Graham Platner is that he worked for Eric Prince’s Blackwater. Was he a mercenary?
