About half of the students in my program are in their early 20s so I have seen more of this than the average Elder Millennial Retirement Home resident and it is hilariously unhinged. Someone in my class put their name as "Charlie Kirked 💀" for a review game like two weeks later.

Releasing it feels fully like a threat to me - a stark reminder that if you do anything to annoy the feds they will shoot you and get away with it.
