Play out how that's going to work out if you have a city government attempting to arrest a corrupt president? That's even if the city leaders can make the city police go against the Secret Service and other presidential protection. The attempt alone would have massive political fallout.

And the reality of that actually happening? Plus, he'd have to first commit some crime in New York specifically. On top of that who's actually going to enforce an arrest? You think his secret service agents are just gonna let someone arrest the president?

Yes, and hopefully by then he won't be the first mayor to push for the arrest of assaulting federal agents. This is probably going to get a good bit worse before January.

You do have to be careful about the online "Left", it's pretty heavily infiltrated with bad faith conservatives and trolls pretending to be Left, also a good amount of Chronically Online and the brain rot there is real.
