The problem is if the government refuse to admit that Brexit is the cause, most voters will see Labour as the cause. The current polling is likely a result of this.
People think everything was bad, nothing has improved, so now I’ll vote for another party.

“When populists say reducing immigration or stopping immigrants becoming citizens will save the taxpayer money, they are lying in the same way that they lied about Brexit and the NHS.”

Why are the American president's claims about autism the first item on British news bulletins?

He's not our president, the advice doesn't apply here and he's not presented any evidence to support his assertions.

So why spread these claims? What make this the biggest story in the UK?

Sorry, more context. The bell ringing was at these two pedestrians and others before he got towards to driver.
A cyclist riding on the pavement, having rung his bell at 2 pedestrians who are now behind him.

I love that you’re “eating your own dog food” building your personal site with Air. I only heard about Air this week via the newsletter, but looking forward to trying it out.

If there’s not going to be enforcement, this is should be an easy loophole to close. As others have mentioned, just put something up, or move the planters to stop parking there. @anneliesedoddsmp.bsky.social @emilykerr36.bsky.social - would love to know your thoughts on fixing this.

Iffley Road morning shift. Car parked on double yellows in front of a bus stop. Plus a bonus attack on pedestrians from a cyclist ringing his bell at the people who are blocking his way - on the pavement. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
A photograph of the scene described in this post.

The evening shift has arrived. These junctions must never be clear. It’s a tough schedule but there are always dedicated local drivers doing what has to be done in the name of the antisocial parking movement.

Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday.

I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.

Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

@frnclassics.bsky.social Thanks so much for the Podcast, and awesome to see posts here too! My wife and I love Golden Age Hollywood and I’m also into 70s movies, so a lot of our viewing is via FRN episodes.
I’ve recently started dabbling with Letterboxd, are you on there, or considering joining?

Yes please! The Cowley Rd pavements are sometimes really bad. It’s often difficult to walk from one end to the other without having to walk in the road. Especially the LTN planter areas which are perfect size to be used as parking bays. Reported many times and raised with councillors, but nothing. 🤦
A car parked fully on the pavement on Cowley Road. Apparently this is fine.
