This could be status quo bias working here, but I really don't think there will be a full blown schism in the US Catholic Church. I think some will go to more BasedTM religions and others will stay and practice selective hearing.

I will move on after this, truly. But the fact that SCOTUS will sign of taking the power of the purse from congress so that IT can re-establish the Jim Crow legal regime is yet another Win! for afropessimism.

I have been ranting about unitary executive shit being anti-constituional all day, and it is. It is also true that racists have been sending wreckers to congress for decades such that the other branches are forced to do Congress's job if anything is to he done at all.

MLK was not just spouting hippy shit when he said that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, he was explaining the mechanics of the world. Because Roberts wanted to re-establish the Jim Crow legal order, Russ Vought gets to overrurn constitutionalism as such.

While *I* think that the ownership of this rag should be tied to 4 horses, institutions like it are how a certain set of the elite communicates with each other, so it is a good sign for the future of the courts for this country that judges are running to nyt to list their grievances.

Basically the Unitary Executive Theory is not just anti-constitutional in terms of the specific US constitution, but is opposed to constitutionalism as an entire theory of law and government. They chopped of Charles 1 heads for this shit!!!

People recoil at the idea that this scores is illegitimate because the implications are frightening, but if the judiciary is supposed to determine if the laws comply with the constitution and scotus rejects constitutionalism as a legal and governing philosophy, then what else can you call it?

While SCOTUS will cite random witch hunters to make reproductive dcisions, they will ignore the legal and historical foundations for constitutionalism as an entire theory of government because conservative legal "scholarship" is opposed to constitutionalism as such.

Spiritual not religious = woo lady who wants to commune with The Divine, but hates rules. I am religious but not spiritual bc I am committed to Discipline, and Virtue and do not particularly care if I commune with the divine in this life. I forgot who said it, but a lady here pointed out that autism, by appearing across racial and economic lines is a very uncomfortable condition for a eugenics society to confront.
