BREAKING: All House Democrats have signed our discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits.

That makes 214.

We can protect health care and lower costs — if only 4 Republicans will join us.

NEW: A newly enacted NY state law requires retailers to reveal whether it used "surveillance pricing" to decide how much you pay for goods. Target, for example, shows the alert on a pop-up when you try to buy eggs online. @regret.bsky.social—@wired.com's new investigative data reporter!—reports:
Your Data Might Determine How Much You Pay for Eggs
A newly enacted New York law requires retailers to say whether your data influences the price of basic goods like a dozen eggs or toilet paper, but not how.

So here’s the thing: I, a certified Disabled™️ Person, do not actually care if anyone fakes for an extra 20 minutes on the test. I care deeply about how the fear of that very thing puts up flaming hoops disabled people have to jump through.

Maybe listen to disabled folk on this one.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

Why the hell would St. Louis officials allow Waymo here??!

Take a combination of:
-shoddy 🛣️ (potholes aplenty, painted lines that disappear in 🌧️)
-Bad drivers who run red lights + 🛑, don't know how to drive in 🌧️ ❄️
-🔫 🔫
-Takes away jobs from humans
-Inc liability
-disincentivizes pub transit

Dem messaging needs to be this,

Not "strong floor, weak ceiling" or whatever filmsy tagline Jeffries is waving in lieu of a white flag
I think the point here is:
1. Run a professional, Behn is a state rep
2. focus on what Trump and the GOP are doing, people are MAD! MAD! don't get lost talking about Dems, talking about this or that, Orange Man Bad! orange man hurt you! hit back at orange man!
we now have information that you can *go after ICE* and lose by a thin margin in a R+22 district, where certain prevailing wisdom would have been confident that only smiling inoffensive-to-Republican moderates could ever possibly be competitive outside Urban Areas™

I sure hope 2026 is a wave election.

But the feelings of "it didn't have to be this way" are still here like a heavy weight upon the chest.

All the pain and suffering, unnecessary disease, families ripped apart. Americans did not have to pick this ongoing tragedy. A lot didn't. 3 more years.

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

Yes. It’s the exact same dynamic in spousal abuse. When the abuser gets wind of the possibility that the abused spouse might leave, the abuser has nothing more to lose and often resort to violence.
