Thank you to all the amazing people who've reached out. I'm eager to share your stories and show that SNAP is, at it's core, about the human right to food.

It sucks the way the humanities are being eroded & labeled unimportant. For every rant against a “new identity,” there is an ancient poem or painting or song or or or that tells us there is nothing new under the sun

SCOOP — Part of the reason Disney/ABC may have rushed to sort things out with Kimmel is because tomorrow they have a planned price increase for Disney+ streaming, a Disney source tells me. With subscriptions hemorrhaging since last week, they couldn’t risk losing more users with this announcement.

this is a really amazing and necessary series on the loss of jobs in some fields, to AI
Freelance illustration gigs drying up. Ad agencies using Midjourney instead of hiring human artists. Costume design turned over to AI wholesale. Good work vanishing.

These are the stories of working visual artists, who describe losing jobs, wages, and hope as their clients and bosses embrace AI.
Artists are losing work, wages, and hope as bosses and clients embrace AI
Visual artists, illustrators and graphic designers share their stories about how AI is being used to lower wages, degrade work and even replace it altogether, in this installment of AI Killed My Job.

Uhhhh if you know someone on Depo Provera shots, tell them there's a lawsuit for brain and spinal tumors. What the fuck.

Pfizer says it couldn't have warned about tumor risk in Depo-Provera lawsuits
Pfizer has urged a Florida federal judge to dismiss lawsuits claiming its birth control shot Depo-Provera can cause users to develop a type of brain tumor, saying regulators barred the company from including a warning about the tumors on the drug’s label.

I recently returned to my Animal Crossing island. I missed it, and there are still some unfinished things I would like to do. Collections, fruit, to stop the flowers from overtaking my entire island. 🏝️

I still need:
-Cherries 🍒
-Peaches 🍑
- Pears 🍐

Also back on my quest to grow blue roses.

To describe the current state of the world as a daily show of deepening horrors is a massive understatement.

However, I read something today that I think more people should see and read.

I hope she doesn't mind my me sharing it here.

I know I'm more than a day late on this, but for some reason it came across my feed now — I confirmed with Sanofi today that they haven't yet shipped the Novavax shot, so it isn't available anywhere. They plan to start shipping next week.

This is a subject that interests me. Especially when you extend the trope from James Sunderland to Ethan Winters to Alan Wake, because the Wake marriage seems to break this trope but really it gives us a spectrum of Sad Men and how they relate to women with James at the bottom and Alan at the top.
"[T]heir journey as mediocre Orpheuses into the underworld is not necessarily to bring Eurydice back out with them, but to make themselves feel better through having made the effort."

Emma Kostopolus explores the trope of guilty male partners in horror games:
Dead Wives’ Society: Male Guilt and the Horror Game - Unwinnable
The important things remain the same: there is a man, there are the horrors and there is the specter of the woman he loved and lost.
