Ganked in Ark Raiders last night by a fella that was not enjoying the experience. "I'm honestly really sorry that I have to unlock this achievement on you." *winding up to punch me to death* Very bizarre vibes in there. Otherwise good times. Got enough loot to rebuild all the loot that I lost.

So, how does one purchase a working vintage GameBoy without getting screwed in the year of our lords 2025?

Can confirm: Good hugs.
Today in my bag at #PAXU I’ve got a relic of my old research (ambergris) alongside my current work: what might be the first DVD-ROM put out with a TTRPG publisher of an Actual Play. (If you find something earlier, I will hug you)

Great piece by @adashtra.bsky.social . I was pulled into MTG circa 2020 mainly because of its original, wildly varied and multifaceted background. Its UB sets have been extremely hit-or-miss, entirely on whether I was a fan of the property featured or not.

Y'all, Ash is on it. Please consider looking at my former colleagues at The Verge. Little by little, they're ably filling the gap left by the loss of Polygon with maturity and humanity.
Talking to people way smarter than me about the things I enjoy is, no bullshit, the best part of my job. So thanks to the folks who talked to me about why Magic’s starting to look like a Fortnite lobby and what this means for the long term health of the game
Magic: The Gathering’s future looks like Fortnite, and fans are split

“I was there the day Horus slew the emperor.”
It all came true. The Steam Deck really was the seed, like I wrote last year. I thought probably I'd see the headset after I landed in Seattle. Probably the gamepad and Steam Link.

But the whole master plan was there. www.theverge.com/2024/12/6/24...
Valve’s master plan for Steam Machines is finally coming into focus
Deckard, Roy, Ibex and Fremont could be just the start.

sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

WE HAVE A NEW WEBSITE

This has consumed around 4 months of my life. We've rebuilt the business from the ground-up. New site, new backend, new customer experience, new platform, new everything.

we spent two years flailing, having no idea how to run a business. now...we have more of an idea.
Despite the ravages of age and an internet steeped in misinformation, your eyes – in this one case – do not deceive you: Website different. It’s taken an immense amount of time and effort, but welcome to Aftermath version 2.0:
